2022
...I didn't record this! But I do remember I re-read an old fantasy favourite of mine, The Black Magician's Trilogy by Trudi Canavan, which was prompted by reading Beltane by Alys West, which I devoured over a couple of days because it took me right back to my teenage love of magic and witchcraft and the story I used to try to write. And Lolly Willowes by Sylvia Townsend Warner, which is a short novel from the 1920s about a spinster aunt who decides to leave her family in London and move to a random village in the middle of nowhere, eventually making a deal with Satan to become a witch. The second half of it is really quite odd and it ends rather abruptly, but it was quirky and interesting.
